Looking for something fun to do in Destin this fall? October and November bring a couple of great opportunities to get out of the house, spend time with family, and enjoy the local community. Whether you’re planning a fun outing with the kids or looking for a festival with music, food, and games, these two fall events in Destin are worth adding to your calendar.

Halloween Hike at Destin Library – October 28, 2026

If you have little ones at home, the Halloween Hike at Destin Library is a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit. Taking place on Wednesday, October 28, this free event gives preschoolers a chance to enjoy a trick-or-treat stroll with spooky-sweet stations along the way.

It’s a nice option for families who want to celebrate the season without planning a big outing or spending money on admission. Kids can enjoy the Halloween atmosphere, visit the different stations, and have a little seasonal adventure in a setting designed with younger children in mind.

Depending on conditions, the activities will be held indoors or on the library lawn. If you’re looking for something easy and family-friendly to do during the week, this could be a great addition to your fall plans.

ECWC Fall Festival – November 14, 2026

Want to spend a Saturday afternoon enjoying food, music, and activities with the community? The ECWC Fall Festival is happening on Saturday, November 14, starting at 2:00 PM at American Legion Destin Post 296, located at 311 Main Street.

There’s plenty planned to keep visitors entertained, including live music from Norah Bass, a chili cook-off, carnival games, a bouncy house, and a cake walk. You can also check out a dunk tank featuring local figures and feats of strength supporting the Emerald Coast Wrestling Club.

With free entry, it’s an easy event to add to your weekend plans. Bring the family, meet up with friends, or stop by to enjoy the festivities and support a local organization. While getting in is free, proceeds from activities will benefit the wrestling club, so taking part is a way to support the group while having a good time.

Whether you’re there for the food, the games, or just the chance to enjoy a fall afternoon outdoors, there’s plenty to look forward to.
