Since their wedding day in 1983, Founders Ann and George Hartley have been avid collectors of frogs. The journey began at a bridal shower when George’s cousin presented them with exquisite linen hand towels adorned with embroidered leaping frogs. Initially, Ann intended to exchange the towels for stemware, but George’s fondness for the gift from his beloved cousin persuaded her to keep them. Their fascination with frogs has persisted ever since.

“It was the only argument I’ve ever won,” says George. “The frogs became a fun part of our lives together and we’ve collected frogs ever since. After 30 plus years, we have a great collection.”

Linen hand towels still grace the restrooms at George’s, while the rest of the collection adorns various corners of the restaurant. The elegance of these towels adds a touch of sophistication to the overall ambiance.
